Energy giant rages against plan to hike Alberta royalties

Energy cartels are trying to coax the Government of Alberta into not hiking royalty rates on gas and oil. For those of you just tuning in, that’s essentially a tax on oil, only it’s collected from the producer rather than the consumer.

To the cartels I say: pay the royalty or find somewhere else to dig! Surely there are plenty of oil-rich countries that would gladly let you rape and pillage their soil for free, to support your profiteering ways… they must be all lined up in front of your offices, begging to throw money at you! Why don’t you go to Saudi Arabia and see what they think ? I’m sure they’ve already forgotten about the last guys who wanted to steal their sole valuable resource.
